The tooth of a Buffalo represents courage, consistency and patience. The Buffalo spirit helps us realize our connectedness with everything to Mather Nature both above and below the soil. The Buffalo’s large head and shoulders are symbols of knowledge, strength, stability, safety and survival. Buffalo teach us that having harmony, gratitude, and peace amongst every thing (living or non) will fuel prosperity, abundance and further blessings. Their natural instinct to honor and preserve life is displayed in times of danger when Buffalo female cows surround their young calves in a defensive circle, protecting them from fierce predators. Meanwhile, the herd’s male bulls create a perimeter of protection around females, resulting in multiple layers of shelter for the calves. Both male and female Buffalo have horns growing upwards toward the sky which symbolizes a connection to a higher intelligence. The Buffalo tooth is used as a reminder that everything is rooted in Mother Earth and powered by Father Sky and that we must do everything that we can to preserve it.
